A Home From Home

We do everything we can to ensure that Shoreline Nursing Home is a place that our residents can be proud to call home whilst providing the best nursing care. With welcoming, fully trained nursing and care staff, we provide a homely atmosphere. The whole building is designed for ease of mobility and fully wheelchair accessible, and additional support is provided for those with special requirements.

Our bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the vast majority have their own private en suite bathroom, as well as a call-system so that staff are available at the push of a button should any our residents require immediate assistance from carers or nursing staff. We always encourage residents add a personal touch to their rooms with photographs, ornaments, and keepsakes. Where space and health and safety requirements allow we are happy for you to bring that favourite chair or meaningful item.

Our catering staff provide nutritious and tasty home-cooked dishes and also plan meals around individual residents’ nutritional needs and dietary requirements. Residents can eat and socialise in one of our dining room or take a meal in the privacy of their own room if they wish. There is an ever available supply of refreshments available including drinks and snacks.

Settling In

From the point of arrival our residents have a dedicated carer provided who will help them settle in plus offer any personal and special support that may be required during their stay. We understand that everyone has different needs and requirement and their carer will get to know new residents and discuss any personal needs or preferences so that our team can tailor their experience during their stay.

A key worker will also create a personal care file for every new resident that joins us which details all of their individual needs and preferences or choices. This personal care file is continually updated and reviewed at regular intervals by our staff, and has input from our residents and healthcare professionals, to ensure that every resident continues to get the care they require even when their personal needs or individual preferences change over time.

Family & Friends

We always encourage family and friends to visit our residents as frequently as they wish and we are happy to accommodate visitors throughout the day. A little advance warning can allow us to arrange for our residents and their visitors to share meals together, from family dinners to a chat over a snack. We encourage our residents to visit family and friends where possible, or to go out with them, so long as our team know they’re safe. With sea views and a fantastic beach just outside the front door a trip out doesn’t have to be far.
